Finding Altamira (Altamira)
In 1868, Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola discovered prehistoric paintings in the Altamira Caves, Spain, with the help of hunter Modesto Cubillas. However, the academic world accused him of falsifying the findings to seek profit. Amid ridicule and disbelief, Sautuola fought desperately to prove the authenticity of the painting in order to restore his good name. A fierce battle between truth and prejudice—until the end of his life.
